Controversy

After Dhami took over as the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand in 2021, one of his 2015 tweets became viral on social media in which he shares his notional map of ‘Akhand Bharat’ which includes neighboring countries, but its erroneous stance was conspicuous as it omitted Ladakh and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. The image of Bharat Mata was at the center of the saffron map, which carried the caption “Akhand Bharat — the desire of every Rshtrabhakt” (nationalist).
